Adi Tait

Adi Tait, Tasman

Born in Nelson, Adi is a multimedia artist working in the areas of painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

Having gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (hons) in painting at Ilam in 2009, she has continued to experiment in new media and varying techniques.

Adi participated in over 30 exhibitions nationally and internationally and was one of the artists and project manager involved with the Ruby Coast Gateway sculptures. More recently she designed the Welcome Cloak sculpture now hanging at Green meadows - Putangitangi.

With a newly built studio near Mapua, she is focused on new paintings and solargraphs (cyanotypes). She likes to push boundaries with her work and find inspiration from what contemporary painters abroad are doing. Adi particularly interested in looking at the NZ landscape in new ways and referencing big picture issues that affect all of us including the use of media, spirituality and the human condition.
