2pm, Hot Sand - Linocut Print

Shapes by Sal

Looking North, Mid Morning - Linocut Print by Hāwea artist Sally-Mae Hudson

Limited edition of 40 hand-printed multi-block linocut artworks.

This artwork was inspired by the feeling and heat of mid-summer in Aotearoa/New Zealand. The pohutukawa is blooming and the sand is hot under your feet as you run down for a swim in the sparkling calm waters of the inlet.

50cm x 38cm printed on fawn coloured Stonehenge paper.

(all measurements are approximate)

All of Sally's artworks are hand-printed, with either the back of her hand, a spoon or a baren. This means that some prints may have small differences depending on how much ink or pressure was applied.
