Mt Cook Buttercup - Drypoint Print by Hāwea artist Sally-Mae Hudson

Limited edition of 15 dry-point prints. These dry point prints were created using old plastic ski passes and printed using an etching press.

The Mt Cook Buttercup is the world’s largest buttercup and a well-known native alpine plant here in Aotearoa. It’s beautiful flowers start to bloom in early summer and it’s large glossy leaves often hold a cupful of water.

Approximately 25.5x17.5cm and printed on white Fabriano paper

(all measurements are approximate)

All of Sally's artworks are hand-printed, with either the back of her hand, a spoon or a baren. This means that some prints may have small differences depending on how much ink or pressure was applied.
